Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our mortgage courses
How many CE hours does a Pennsylvania MLO need each year?
Pennsylvania requires 8 hours of NMLS-approved continuing education annually to renew your Mortgage Loan Originator license.
What's the difference between CE and Late CE?
CE is the standard annual renewal course completed before your license expires. Late CE covers the prior year's required course and is for MLOs who missed their original renewal deadline — you'll need to complete it before your license can be reinstated.
Can I take the CE course as a video course?
Yes. We offer a self-paced video format for the annual CE package, along with the standard online format.
What happens if I don't complete my CE on time?
Your NMLS license will go into an inactive or expired status if you don't complete your required CE by the renewal deadline. You'll then need to complete Late CE for the missed year before you can reactivate or renew your license.
Is this course NMLS-approved?
Yes, all of our Pennsylvania MLO CE and Late CE courses are NMLS-approved and reported directly to the NMLS upon completion.
