Frequently Asked Questions
The Construction track covers OSHA's Focus Four hazards (falls, struck-by, caught-in-or-between, electrocution), Introduction to OSHA, Personal Protective Equipment, health hazards in construction, and electives. The General Industry track covers Introduction to OSHA, walking-working surfaces, exit routes, electrical safety, PPE, hazard communication, machine guarding, and electives. Both run a minimum of 10 hours per the DOL Outreach Procedures.
Yes. After you pass the final exam, you receive an immediate digital completion certificate, and the official DOL OSHA 10 plastic card arrives by mail in 2–4 weeks. The card is issued by the U.S. Department of Labor — not by training providers — and is the document employers actually ask to see on the jobsite.
OSHA does not stamp an expiration date on the card itself. However, several states (including New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island) require OSHA 10 for public-works workers and may expect refreshers every 3–5 years. Many employers and contracting authorities also set their own refresh interval. Check before you assume your existing card is accepted.
OSHA 10 is the entry-level course designed for workers and takes 10 hours. OSHA 30 is the supervisor-level course (30 hours) — it covers everything in OSHA 10 plus in-depth hazard analysis, accident investigation, recordkeeping, and safety program management. If you supervise crews, run a project, or hold safety responsibilities, OSHA 30 is the right course.
Yes. The DOL Outreach Procedures explicitly authorize online OSHA 10 delivery through approved providers, as long as the student passes module assessments and the final exam. Our course is delivered by an OSHA-authorized provider and is mobile-responsive, so you can complete sessions wherever and whenever fits.
No. Our final exam has no timer, and retakes are unlimited at no extra cost. The DOL Outreach Procedures require that students demonstrate mastery, so we let you re-attempt as many times as needed until you pass — no pressure, no penalty for taking your time.
