Find answers to common questions about our real estate courses
What is Tennessee post-licensing?
Tennessee post-licensing is a TREC-required 120-hour education program that newly licensed affiliate brokers must complete within their first 3 years. It includes a mandatory 60-hour Affiliate Broker course within year 1, plus 60 elective hours within years 1–3.
When is Tennessee post-licensing due?
The 60-hour Affiliate Broker course must be completed within the first 12 months of initial licensure. The remaining 60 elective hours must be completed before your 3-year anniversary. Missing either deadline causes license expiration.
Can Tennessee post-licensing be taken online?
Yes. Fortune Academy's full 120-hour TN post-licensing package is 100% online and TREC-approved.
How much does Tennessee post-licensing cost?
Fortune Academy's 120-hour TN post-licensing package is priced to meet TREC's full requirement in one bundle. Contact for current pricing.
What topics are covered in Tennessee post-licensing?
TN post-licensing covers advanced agency, contracts, finance, property management, risk management, investment real estate, and TN-specific compliance. Fortune Academy bundles popular electives.
What happens if I miss the TN post-licensing deadlines?
If you don't complete the 60-hour Affiliate Broker course within 12 months, TREC expires your license. The same applies if you miss the 3-year electives deadline. Reinstatement requires retaking the licensing exam.
Is there an exam for Tennessee post-licensing?
Yes. Each TREC-approved post-licensing course includes a proctored final exam. Fortune Academy includes unlimited practice quizzes.
Does post-licensing count toward CE?
No. TN post-licensing (120 hours) is separate from the 16-hour biennial CE. Post-licensing is one-time; CE begins after post-licensing is complete.
